First, if you expected GoPro quality for $99, then you shouldn’t be reviewing this item. video quality is better than I expected and is about the same as iPhone. completely destroys my experience with GoPro. Long battery, no tech issues, ease of use, multiple accessories, and quick resp from customer service. 2+ hrs recording, standby mode batt lasts forever-likely month+. Will buy more as gifts.
Leave the power on and it goes into standby mode if no activity for about 20 secs. Then hit the record button and there is only 1 or 2 sec delay before it starts recording. If not in standby then it starts recording instantly. Sound has a static background but not a big deal for me. My main issue with GoPro was the battery (and glitches). I charge this full once and can use for couple of weeks without recharging and have about 1.5 hrs recording time from multiple use with approx 25% batt life still remaining. Absolutely perfect for what I need. Not a HD wide screen shot but then you have to pay $500+ for sketchy performing GoPro.

Works great. But the one I had before went bad after moderate use. Have had three different Swann cameras before this one, and all developed problems or went bad. Great while they last.

This was purchased as a gift for my son to use while kayak fishing. This fit the price range and had a large variety of mounting options which his current camera does not have. He lives half way across the country and this gives him a chance to share his passion of flyfishing with his family.
He has already downloaded some great video with it and was very happy with the ease of use, its quick charging and its versatility in mounting options. I really enjoyed seeing the footage of his bass fishing that he took with it. The quality of the video was very good for the price of this tiny camera. He also likes that he can use his other camera for quality still photos.
The one negative is that he wishes it had the option of having no date/time displayed on the video. The camera also has the tendency to ‘forget’ the time that was set.
(I rated this camera for price point at which it was bought for and not cameras costing 4-5+times more.

This little cam does the trick it’s so cool. I’ve used it for about everything. Like a dash cam, spy cam and even took to lake and tried putting on a fishing pole and got some great catfish footage. For the price can’t go wrong. Simple and very easy to use. This is my 2nd one and I just purchased another.

My husband attaches this to his kayak so he can see his paddle stroke and whether he needs to improve it. The video is very clear and works perfectly for what he wants. Now if I could just attach it to my horse somehow to see how he is going and I am riding…

It worked for a few practice runs, then it quit. I bought this for a toy, just out of curiosity. I was planning on using this to record my motorcycle ride. Well, by the time I’ve learned the buttons, it quit working. Because it was so cheap, I was not expecting this to last, but to go out this soon?
