The a7iII is also a good choice if you need to lower the price tag. So far the a7iv has done every thing the reviewers said it would do. My personal advice is, ignore all those guys who tell you to do this first. Get to know your camera and then figure out what settings work best for you. Sony, Cannon, Nikon, Fuji, etc all make good cameras. Unless there’s really a compelling reason to switch systems, stick with the one you know.. Spend you money on good glass, rather than the latest camera. My old Sony A99 has about taken one too many bounces. It took me a long time to decide it was time to move to mirrorless. I’ve alway thought mirrowlless for digital cameras was the way to go. I stuck with old Sony SLT cameras because I could sue my Minolta lenses on them. Now I’m slowly getting a new lens collection.

Auto Focus is a step up from the a7iii and it feels much more ergonomic as well. It’s easy to use for beginners as it has a new menu set up too. Definitely recommend and is my favorite go to camera videos so great as well as it has 10bit color.

A disappointed Canon user I have now moved into the Sony Camp to take advantages of third party Lens, which were blocked by Canon. The Good thing with the Sony is, I can attach all my Canon EF & EF-S Glass to the Sony with “Viltrox Mount Adaptor” to Sony e mount. Most of the Canon Lenses worked just fine. The 50 f1.2 EF Lens, that one had to be manually focused in stills and in Video mode, exposure was fine.

This has been my main camera for the last couple of years. It’s a great balance of videography and photography, and awesome for the price. I ultimately decided on this one for its video features (sLog3, no recording limit, codec options), as well as the general utility and customizability. Awesome camera

It’s a pricey camera but well worth it if you are looking for an upgrade or even a starting point for camera gear. Despite what others may say, I find it intuitive to use and the image quality is quite good. The important thing to remember is you need a nice lens to make the most of it but the kits lens is decent enough to get you up and running while you learn the camera. All in all, worth the price tag if it’s within your means.

Can’t wait for vacation to use this camera. I like the use of my iPhone to control the camera. Can change all settings through the phone. Can view photos right after taking them and it is saved to the phone and to the two SD chips in the camera. Plenty of buttons that you can save common used settings to.

Not really a video person, but it’s a great camera. I’ll have it a long time.
Been using Sony forever and it’s better than most. Auto focus is amazing. Actually all of the auto settings are fantastic.
I’m not a professional. But I find beauty in a lot of life. And don’t like to pay to have someone shoot things for me.
