I needed an additional video light for macro and upclose video work. It is very bright for it’s size. As of now it will last two dives with intermittent use. Easy to charge

I bought two of these lights and after completely charging them, I used them for he first one and on the first dive one seized. When I switched it on underwater the three led lights flashed and wouldn’t work for the rest of the dive. Upon return to my base I charged it and it charged only briefly before one solid green light was displayed. I tried it again the next day and the same happened, except both lights failed in the same way. After charging them I switched them on full strength and left them in the bath tub for the battery run down, before charging them. This time they charged, starting from flashing red, then amber and finally green. The next dive was successful with both lights working. On the subsequent dives I tried to charge them without running the batteries down first and the same failure happened with both lights. This spoiled my 2 month diving holiday, because it’s a hassle to drain the batteries before charging them.
I’ve used SOLA lights before and they worked perfectly for 10 years before the batteries won’t charge anymore.
This new model obviously has a design or manufacturing flaw. Maybe I just bought two lemons, but I will be returning both and will look for an alternative to SOLA lights.

Great video light with long battery life. I now have two of these… I bought my first one a couple of years ago and it’s still going strong

Great light – diffuser does a good job so no burn outs or hot spots
