  1. Starlight

Absolutely loved this camera for a trip to the ocean. It took excellent pictures both above water and underwater. It is definitely waterproof and lightweight with excellent functionality. It also has good battery life. Awesome product and an excellent value!

  2. Dave

The 8K resolution and 70MP capability provide stunning image quality. The photos were sharp, vibrant, and captured the beautiful colors of marine life with clarity. The camera also has various shooting modes that let you get creative, including burst mode and time-lapse photography. Using the camera was straightforward. The controls are intuitive, and I appreciated the easy-to-navigate menu. It’s lightweight and portable, making it convenient to carry around. The battery life was impressive too; I was able to shoot for hours without needing a recharge. However, there are a couple of minor drawbacks. While the image quality is fantastic, I found that low-light performance could be improved. Some shots taken in deeper waters were not as bright as I expected.

I have several of these underwater cameras and out of all of them this is the best one that I’ve had yet. Super high quality, the pictures are crystal clear both above and below water. Super easy to use, the included memory card that comes with it and sure is that you can take a ton of pictures as well as videos and keep them safe. It is the perfect size to take with you everywhere you go without being cumbersome or bulky. And to be honest with you, my kids get more enjoyment out of this camera then I do. Just the idea of being able to take pictures underwater while they’re swimming or while we’re at the beach makes it an absolute fun time for my kids as well as myself and the rest of my family.

Only issue is when the battery stops taking a recharge the camera becomes a throwaway. The battery is not removable and cannot be replaced. However this is a sturdy little camera and takes good pics. It’s everything that the advertisement says. Am satisfied with it.

  5. Free Will

This underwater camera is fantastic for capturing poolside moments! The 33FT waterproof feature keeps it safe in the water, and the rugged, dustproof design makes it durable. It takes clear, high-quality photos and videos—perfect for all our water activities!

  6. frank glass

bought for a snorkel trip and first time to use it worked for 30 minutes then it shut off, took on boat and it was FULL OF WATER inside. never took it deeper than 2 feet underwater. P.O.S. don’t buy it.

When you get this camera out of the box you’ve got to be sure to fiddle with the settings first thing, as it has a few unfavorable defaults. For example, you can configure to what degree it auto-focuses, and the default is “none at all,” so I initially thought it was garbage at close-ups, but it turns it out CAN focus on close objects and actually really well–if you enable auto-focus.

It does really high resolution: 9728×7296 photos and 3840×2160 videos. Audio pickup is decent (48 kHz). Photos are JPEGs. Videos are Apple’s MOV container format, while internally they are MPEG-4 (audio is AAC LC).

I appreciate how the filenames are YYYYMMDD_HHMMSS (and if multiple photos are taken in an instant they are additionally serailized as YYYYMMDD_HHMMSS_XX, etc.) because they already sort by date and at a glance you can see when they were taken without having to dig into the metadata, and there are no weird prefixes indicating the brand.

A 64GB memory card is included.

I tested the camera in water briefly, and it still works. A word of advice: After a camera has been exposed to water, it’s best to wait at least 8 hours before opening the door to ensure no moisture gets in.

The battery is non-removable, so you can’t go on vacation and have a spare ready while you’re out and about. One plus is that the battery does seem to last a very long time.

Do not like how you have to hold the power button for an eon to turn the camera on/off, especially since the top buttons require extra pressure. Definitely not a good interface for people with arthritis, and if you’re trying to capture a quick moment, it will likely be over before the camera boots up. I used to have a camera that prevented accidental powerings by simply having the button be small and set slightly into the casing, and it turned instantly on/off.

The software interface needs improvement. There is no quick jump to photos as you have to navigate the main menu to the “Album”, and then Videos and Photos are segregated without any mixed view. If you want to zoom in on a photo, you can’t just immediately press a buttons, you have to navigate into an additional menu to enter zoom mode.

The flash is bright and does well with close subjects, but terrible for anything more than a few feet away. In other words, if you’re going to go on a tour of a Hawaiian lava tube or Mount Timpanogos Cave, or you just need a picture of your attic, this camera won’t capture much in the darkness unless Saeki Kayako suddenly pops up right in front of you.

One very alarming design is that the loop for the wrist strap STICKS OUT from the corner of the camera instead of being set into the casing. Mine arrived bent up maybe 15 degrees. The plastic has stress discoloration and the single-piece loop is cracked. This is technically something that’s worthy of a defective product exchange, but it’s such a defective DESIGN that I wouldn’t trust an unbent loop anyway to not break during normal use.

Took it to the ocean a few times & got some great shots. Love the continuous shooting mode when capturing waves. I’ve tried 2 other brands & this is one is the best
