Nice features however water got inside the camera housing after a few hours of use making the video very blurry. Amazon was very easy to deal with and issued a refund quickly. I ordered a second one and it suffered the same problem. Returned it as well. Will not be ordering a third one…

    Update-
The first Evo had some issues(see below) which customer service helped me try to address as they were very responsive via email, although the time difference definitely slowed communication.
Ultimately I decided to return it and purchase a replacement as I really like the concept.
I have had the second one out four occasions with zero issues. Dives have been in fresh water lake up to 35′ depth so far. Battery lasts a bit over an hour without using the lights a whole lot. Claw is great, but you will need to use a hook and rope to pull up anything more than a couple pounds because the motors probably don’t have the power for much more than that. Removable SD is great (although you do have to remove the claw to get to it every time-3 small screws so it’s pretty quick). If you use a removable SD format it to FAT32- I used the
Disc Genius website (easy to do if you just follow a youtube tutorial took less than 10 minutes and I’ve never formatted one before) to format a 256gB micro SD and it has worked well in the new machine. Video camera is excellent. Controls take some getting used to but you learn quickly, especially if you don’t have to fight much of a current. Also like the depth lock a lot and use it all the time- definitely a top feature. Compass is handy for keeping oriented once you get the hang of the other controls. Recommended to use dielectric grease on metal threaded connections as an additional safeguard against leaks. Can’t wait to take it out again.
Hoping this one will last. Updated to 4 stars because it is awesome and would give it 5 if it had a few small tweaks and if they prove to be consistently durable. I went with the Evo because it seems to give a beginner the most for the money and seems to be a well-established company.

    Original recuew- First time out….
Camera stopped working after about 40 minutes. Plenty of charge, all other functions still work. Fresh water lake, no red flags prior. Super bummed. Was having a lot of fun and getting the hang of controls. Seems like it may possibly related to an issue with identifying available space on the SD card, because the icon seems to indicate that on the app although there is plenty of space and the recorded video from before issue played back fine on my computer later on. Maybe some sort of issue with the connection to the phone through the app? Can’t figure it out. Live feed is just black.
    Tried to troubleshoot…..
    Turned off and back on.
Checked all network and cable connections.
Verified newest version of app and reinstalled.
Plenty of battery power all devices.
    All other controls operate.
Nothing seems to resolve the issue. Will buy new memory card and try that.
I guess I will let you know how the customer service is because it is a lot of money to spend for something to stop working right away. Reached out via multiple channels and waiting to hear back (hopefully just because of time difference).
Think it will be good if it stays functional. Will adjust review based on experience from here on, 2 stars for now.
Holding out hope it isn’t a really expensive brick. Enjoyed it while it was working though. QySea/FiFish please reach out if you read this.
