Sony E 11mm F1.8 APS-C Ultra-Wide-Angle Prime for APS-C Cameras
Original price was: $549.99.$498.00Current price is: $498.00.
- This incredibly compact and lightweight ultra-wide-angle 11mm APS-C prime offers dynamic perspectives, outstanding image quality, large F1.8 aperture as well as fast, precise, quiet AF ideal for still and video content creators.
- The small size and low weight of the lens makes it a perfect match for compact APS-C as well as Super35 E-mount cameras. Also thanks to a refined internal focus mechanism, the lens’s length remains constant while focusing for ideal balance and handling. You can move in close to the subject, right down to the lens’s minimum focusing distance, and shoot movies or stills without being restricted by changing lens length.
- An 11 mm field of view and large F1.8 aperture make it easy to shoot subjects against sweeping background with beautiful bokeh. That also makes this lens ideal for vlogging as the wide field of view helps capture all of the scene even when the camera is held at arm’s length.
- State-of-the-art lens technology packed into this remarkable large-aperture ultra-wide lens reduces unwanted focus breathing and angle of view shifts when focusing. It also supports the breathing compensation function in compatible alpha cameras, further reducing unwanted angle of view shifts during focusing for smooth, high-quality movie footage.
- Two linear motors give this large-aperture lens impressively fast, precise autofocus and tracking performance for both stills and movies. AF and tracking are so responsive that the full speed potential of the camera in use can be fully realized so that even fast or erratically moving subjects can be reliably captured.

De verdad que buena lente por el precio. Súper ligero, cabe en tu bolsillo lo puedes llevar a donde sea. Muy buena calidad de imagen, también se desempeña muy bien en condiciones de poca luz. De lo mejor este gran angular para APSC sony

I wasn’t planning on spending this much on an ultra-wide prime but in checking you-tube videos, it beat the other choices. Auto focus is fast, images are sharp, and this focal length is wonderful on the Sony a6000 series bodies. It changes how you see the world.

This is the whitest and sharpest lens on the market that doesn’t cave-in and make it look like one of those go pros it’s insane for photography and vlogging which is what I use it for The only downside to this lens is that there’s not very practical ways to zoom in and out to make your videos, more engaging and all that but I really love this thing so I’m still gonna rate it five stars
Perfect for podcast –
Needed a wide angle for our podcast, mounted at corner of table and able to get everyone in shot without distortion and fisheye. Great focus speed, sits on my Sony 6700 and was the missing peace. Great value for the quality of lens.

Esta lente sin duda es excepcional, me funcionó perfectamente para fotografía de bienes raíces ya que desde hace tiempo estaba buscando un gran angular de precio accesible. (Nota: Las fotos ya están editadas)

I bought this to go along with my Sony ZVe10 camera and I love it! It lets me get everything I want to into frame and capture pictures and videos that I love! It may not be the best lens for trying to take portrait pictures since it is a wide angle lens but other than that it is really good. I would definitely recommend it to any one looking for a good wide angle prime lens!

Love it!

This lens really impressed me. It’s super sharp and detailed. The color is great. Curiously, for an ultra wide, it’s actually a fairly flattering lens. So if you’re going to an ultra wide this is the one to buy. The quality is superb.
Note though, 11mm, even an apsc, creates a couple of headaches. First, lens filters often lead to vignetting. Second, if you’re using an on camera microphone for video (even the rode micro) then good luck getting it out of the shot 🙂 but these are general issues with any ultra wide lens. If you decide to buy ultra wide, then this one is superb in terms of quality. You won’t do better.

This a very wide lens. Fantastic for vlogs and I some interior shots we’ve taken, but the stretching around the edges was just too much for me. I had to crop in on most of the shots in post. The lens for the most part is sharp and the autofocus lived up to the hype.

Es muy ligero, tiene una gran calidad de imagen y es el compañero perfecto para un Sony a6700

I love this light and compact 11mm lens. The F1.8 is helpful for lower light situation, and the 11mm (equals to ~16mm full frame) focal length gives wide angle photos without distorting the objects heavily. If I have to go on travel with only two lenses, I will probably take this for landscape and night shots, and carry a zoom lens for others.

It’s so good, the image quality is better, I do plan on getting another lens in the future but for the price it’s definitely worth it for now (invest in your business/youtube it’ll pay off in the long run if you’re consistent)!!!
Perfect for podcast –
This lens isn’t perfect, but it’s good for what it is (see headline). It’s only within the past year or so that manufacturers have decided to jump on the wide-angle bandwagon, and I’m all for it! It doesn’t help that the sensor is cropped, hence the “C” in APS-C.
I like doing landscape astrophotography, which is why I sometimes wish I had gone straight to full frame. However, with this lens, I can get a good amount of real estate at 11mm (equivalent to 16.5mm full frame). F/1.8 also lets in a good amount of light.
When I’m not doing low light long exposure shots on a tripod, the auto focus is fast. Minimum focus distance is small, which might make this lens great for macro shots except you’ll sometimes end up creating a shadow if you go too close.
The downside is obvious to anyone who has even used the lens once: the barrel distortion is pretty bad. If I were shooting with this lens and didn’t have any software to edit the images in, I would have given this lens a lower rating.
There is a little bit of purple fringing wide open, but that can be corrected in post (see picture with trees).
Cynics might say that Sony was being cheap with creating a smaller lens, but I think the intention was to keep the lens light and small. This does matter; I’ve had to worry about some of my bigger lenses slamming into bigger objects when I have the camera strapped to me. My Sony A6500 is small, and this 11mm lens feels like it complements the camera. With some bigger lenses, it can feel like you’re attaching a camera to your lens rather than the other way around.
I’ve added a variety of pictures to showcase this lens’s capabilities. If you’re able to fix the distortion either through the camera or in post (such as Lightroom profile correction), this lens is a keeper.
