Did 3 dives at 60 feet and on the fourth dive the light stopped working. There is water inside the lens and the buttons spill water when pressed. Do not buy this light if you are diving.

Was ich nicht mag sind die Lügen über die Helligkeit, angegeben wurden 25.000 Lumen und bekommen tut man eine etwas hellere Taschenlampe. Ich besitze bereits eine knapp 1000 € teurer Kopflampe mit nachgewiesenen 5000 Lumen, diese Lampe hier ist nicht mal ein Viertel so hell. Die Qualität und Verarbeitung ist wirklich gut Und auch das Zubehör finde ich klasse. Dennoch enttäuscht es mich maßlos dass die Helligkeit so minimal ist. Gerade unter Wasser benötigt man wirklich sehr viel Licht und dies bekommt man hier absolut nicht

Geliefert wird die Tauchlampe in einem braunen Karton in dem sich ein elegantes Hardcase verbirgt. In diesem Hardcase ist neben der Tauchlampe selbst auch noch folgendes Zubehör:
– Bedienungsanleitung
– Tool zum Öffnen des verdeckten USB C Anschlusses
– USB-C Kabel zum aufladen
– Ball Halterung um sie auf einem Rig etc. befestigen zu können (inkl. passender Zylinderkopfschraube und Inbusschlüssel)
– Bügel um die Lampe halten zu können bzw. anderes Zubehör (ActionCam z.B.) daran anzubringen
Die Lampe ist gut verarbeitet und weist keinerlei Schadstellen in der Anodisierung auf. Scharfe Graten oder Kanten sucht man vergeblich und das Schutzglas vorne ist Kratzerfrei!
Vom Gewicht her ist zu beachten, dass diese Tauchlampe mit 3 Stk. LiIon Akkus bestückt ist und das Gehäuse entsprechend dick gebaut wurde um den Druck in hohen Wassertiefen stand zu halten. Dementsprechend ist das schon ein ordentlicher Teil mit gut Gewicht!
Es scheint so als wären die Akkus quasi “fix” verbaut, da ich vermute das Gehäuse wird ziemlich sicher verklebt sein (vorne an der Bezel und hinten am Batteriedeckel). Somit kann man bei einem etwaigen Defekt nicht einfach mal so die Akkus tauschen! Das gibt einen Stern Abzug von mir.
Die Bedienung der Lampe ist fast selbsterklärend und fällt sehr einfach aus. Von oben gesehen (Licht nach vorne) der linke Taster ist für das weiße Licht (High-Med-Low) der rechte Taster für das Rote und Blaue Licht. Ist auch in der Bedienungsanleitung sehr gut beschrieben!
Durch drücken der beiden Taster gleichzeitig kann man die Lampe in einen Lockout Modus geben, damit man sie nicht versehentlich anschaltet.
Die Lichtfarbe ist schön Kaltweiss ohne jeglichen Blau/Grün oder Magentastich! Gefällt mir für den gedachten Einsatzzweck sehr gut.
Sollte man eine wärmer oder noch kältere Lichtfarbe für die Unterwasseraufnahmen benötigen, so kann man wahlweise das Rote oder Blaue Licht hinzuschalten.
In der Angebotsüberschrift steht 25000 Lumen, in der BDA hingegen 10000 Lumen. Das finde ich ehrlich gesagt verwirrend und täuscht potentielle Kunden! Im Vergleich mit anderen Taschenlampen in der 10k Lumen klasse würde ich sagen sie erreicht diese Leistung in etwa, jedoch auf keinen Fall 25k Lumen! Leider habe ich keine Ulbrichtkugel zur Hand um das genau zu messen…
Durch die fehlerhafte Angabe der richtigen Lichtleistung gibt es einen halbe Stern Abzug!
Preislich gehört die Tauchlampe eher zu den hochpreisigen Lampen. Ich persönlich besitze einige Taschenlampen anderer Hersteller welche auch so um die 150,- kosten, die aber von der Verarbeitung/Funktionsumfang etc. doch deutlich besser sind! Dementsprechend auch hier ein halber Stern Abzug.
Wie sie sich im realen Szenario in einigen Metern Tiefe schlägt wird sich im nächsten Urlaub zeigen. Insgesamt kann man sagen es handelt sich um eine solide gut funktionierende Taschenlampe zu einem (meiner Meinung nach) etwas zu hohem Preis! Wenn man die verschiedenen zusätzlichen Farben benötigt kann man hier unter Berücksichtigung der negativen Punkte durchaus zugreifen.

I have used similar lights and half have failed at the button O-Ring that is not mentioned in their product.
This light appears to be more durable than the others with recessed metal buttons.
My only concern is that the battery is not accessible or replaceable, the unit however is a sealed metal tube, my concern is traveling with it.
It must be in a carry-on bag when flying because of the batteries, but no way to lock the power button to keep it from accidently being activated and possibly causing a fire as these lights get very hot, very fast.
I will update its performance at a later date after I save up enough money for a South Pacific live-a-board dive trip where I hope to test some new dive and camera gear.

After a couple of purchases/returns, this light looks like the true winner.
So my mission is a Flounder rig w a lightweight underwater light and a fork/pole for stabbing those beauties. Looks like the camera setup is decided but the pole w fork will be purchased at my local tackle shop. So you know which light was selected, here’s what finished this important piece of the puzzle.

Back to the light review…this light is downright awesome. Was totally amazed when I took it out of the box and held it in my hands. Although the verdict is still out, the engineering for this light looks well thought out and it’s not a light weight but is not too heavy either. I will return with an update after my very first flounder trip. My neighbor flounders regularly carrying a backpack with 12v battery with great success. We’ll see how this compares to his rig.

I bought this as a replacement for my camera I use for taking pictures while scuba diving. My original expensive light went out and some of the others. I know of are very expensive. This is less expensive and is super bright and works great. You may have to get a little creative to connect it to your current camera package but I was able to do that without any trouble. This is definitely recommended if you want to light that will give you several shades and degrees of brightness. I definitely recommend it.

I used this 1 time after receiving and charging in a search and recovery effort. Light worked fantastic until i got it home, it wouldn’t charge and is now inoperable. Expensive light for a single use. 2 stars for it being great underwater and an expensive paperweight at the end of the day.
My normal review is shown above, however, after seeing it Genwiss is replacing my light despite the purchase date being past the warranty. So I’m altering my review, as I stated above this light is fantastic under water. Where I dive on a good day I have 10 feet of visibility, and with this light aimed at the bed I could literally see a pencil from 4 kick cycles out. I would absolutely purchase another for use moving forward.

My sister bought this light for me while it was on a prime deal (I don’t have prime) before my diving trip to oahu and molokai right before christmas. I had planned to mate this light with one of the camera rigs for a gopro, but I found the better option to just get a double ended 1/4″-20 double ball adapter and mount the gopro to the light itself. I bought a lanyard for the light and I used the other 1/4″-20 mount on the light to attach a clamp to hold my 2000 lumen spot light. I played with the orientations to balance the weight of my gopro and spot light to keep the gopro level without twisting my hand. I ended up with a rather large rig, but it still fit in the 5 gallon camera buckets on the boats. But keep in mind the orientation with that rig favors using the light with your right hand based on the 1/4″-20 threaded connections on the light. The light is amazingly bright as a flood light. It lasts about 45 minutes on high with the red led also lit, which was 10 minutes short of the time I needed for the night dive. It took about 9 hours to charge from dead that night. I did 3 dives the next day using a portable battery pack to charge it on the boat between dives to make sure it lasted, but i didn’t leave it on the whole time. The 10 other dives i used the light on so far i would just put the light on when i saw something that i wanted to get on video, and I didn’t wear the battery down that much. So use the high brightness sparingly–and it can be a little too bright for some video if you are very close. In daylight, the medium setting is enough to make your video pop at 40-60 ft depth. You may want the bright setting and red led’s on for 85-110ft depth though. I did have a lot of cloud cover when I was diving so my results may be a little skewed but i did have 60-80ft visibility most of the time. I am a little disappointed that not both 1/4″-20 mounts on the light are stainless, and I think there should be a setting between the highest and next down brightness to maybe get a full hour of night diving. If you cycle through the red led too fast you’ll end up with flashing blue and red. You can also blind other divers really easy with this light on low and you may not realize it is still on. I started putting a finger in front of the light when I was operating the buttons with my thumb to make sure it was off. I was also a little disappointed that the flat surfaces surrounding the 1/4″ holes were somewhat sunken in comparison to the other parts of the light. The next time I go diving I am getting some stainless washers to make it easier to fasten everything on with just a little extra offset. I didn’t use the bracket that came with the light or any of the other fasteners. It’s too bad that the case wasn’t designed for just the light itself to save space in your luggage. The red led’s are rather bright too. I’ll probably end up using this light also for checking on my bee hives at night since bees can’t see red light. So if you are both a diver and a beekeeper, this is probably the dive light for you. But I wouldn’t give up a spot light as well since that is useful for long distances under water and circling something cool with a spot of light to point it out to other divers. I have two of the genwiss 2000 lumen spot lights and I like them and that is why i stuck with this brand. After 14 drives the light is showing just a tiny little corrosion at the aluminum 1/4″-20 threaded connection, but other than that it looks like new.
