It is a very handy, powerful and sophisticated light.
I have it only 2 months and it has been underwater 3 times to date.
Also the service I received from “Light and Motion” support, as I had some queries related to its operation, it was superb and prompt.
Recommendation. Please study very carefully the small manual as it is very informative as regards its operation.
Particular attendance is to setting the “travelling ” and “SOS” modes and how to return to the normal operating mode.

I use this light on the lowest setting as a focus light for my camera setup. I like that it also has a red light setting. It does have a sealed-in battery and electronics, so there is no chance of flooding. Read the manual, as it has 2-3 cut-off/ on modes.

Used this light on 2 dive trips and just as the mandarin fish were starting their ritual courtship it stopped working. Missed the shot of a lifetime. Bummer! Now it will not charge or turn on. Proper care was always applied. Way too expensive for something that does not last.

I want to clarify that this item did not ship from Dolphin Scuba Center, I had purchased items from them in the past with no issues.
The light was in fact shipped by Amazon Fulfillment Center, so my issue I have is with Amazon Fulfillment Center, and not Dolphin Scuba Center.
This is not the first time that I got wrong parts shipped to me from Amazon, it seems that their quality control is going downhill, certainly costing them more money on returns.
My frustration is that every time these crqp happens I have to then there are more delays to get the item.

I love Light & Motion light. I have a 1200 and I decided to purchase second one so I can use it on my frame also for video lights.
I received the new light from Amazon, opened the package and I was surprised that it was manually taped up.
Inside there were no documentation and all the mounting parts were missing.
The description states: Comes standard with 1″ ball-mount to be used with most popular arms. This light is also compatible with Light & Motion’s SOLA Compact Tray & Arm Kit (#800-0150) with purchase of optional Video Base adapter (#800-0150).
However all I got was a light and the charger but the charger cable was not even wound up.
I own a Light & Motion Solo 1200 already, I know what comes with the box and this was clearly a return or used item they were trying to pass on to me as a new product.
Be aware, check the content and check to wear and all parts, when in doubt check with Light & Motion website.
I would recommend 5 stars otherwise as I love their light, it is shameful that Amazon is doing this!

The product is great as always. But the manufacturer has gotten CHEAP! No case to store it in. Lights use to always come with a carrying case. It would fit light and charger. Light and Motion going south.

Their products are normally top notch but the turn on switch is cheap and turns on by itself draining the battery before you are aware it’s turned on. Located on the top where it’s easy to bump. Once again another piece of equipment that requires a special charger.
