I purchased two of the L12s thinking they would last until I was ready to invest in a full set of “higher quality” lights.
So, here I am, 2 years later and couldn’t be any happier with my lights and cannot justify spending $800 each for a new set of lights.
These lights have proven themselves as a contender in the quality and durability of a higher priced light.
How much have I used them? Good question!!! I dive on average every 2 – three weeks, I am a wreck diver so the lights are constantly in use. The average depth of my dives are about 75-80′ reaching 100-120 on each dive. They have proven themselves!!!
The output is amazing and as a designer of underwater lighting, I tested the LEDs and they are on point for output.
By the way, I am writing this as I was looking at other lights and I am staying with what I have…don’t be afraid of these lights, they are strong and easy to use.

I really liked this light for being used as a flood light while on our recent trip to Cozumel. It worked great to illuminate the pass throughs and while on our night dive. I purchased 3 of them (one for myself, my wife and my son) they lasted the entire trip with the exception of one of them which died on the 2nd to last day of our trip – thankfully we had already completed our night dive and had a back up. They are a great value for what you get, make sure you get a good retractor and a double ender to secure it, as it is rather heavy.

My original light stopped working but the customer service was great and they replaced it without hassle.

I’ll update a proper review after I have had it underwater for a couple times.
First what the non existent manual doesn’t tell you. The buttons are completely separate circuits. Each is a quick press to turn on each independent light function. Or both at the same time. There is no trick, press and hold or double tap or anything like that to turn on. This is important for handling and both good and bad. If you are traveling make sure to remove the batteries to avoid easy press activation. On the good, no funny business to turn the light on. Off is just keep staging down until off (4 presses).
I’m a little concerned about the quality of the circuit board, will see how it holds up being screwed on and off, you can see in the images there is already kind of a grind point on the conductive glue… might be fine though, have to see over time. I’m also a little concerned on the quality of the anodized material, it seems pretty thin, have to see how it holds up.
The good man handle is a little small, with drysuit gloves ect and back of the light will thwack the dry glove seal area. I’m planing to ball mount on scooter or camera arm, so not a problem but something to consider.
The two o’rings seem a bit small to me but it passed the bucket water test. Have to see how they hold up, two replacements and a little lube is included (nice touch imo).
Now the light head. I gotta say this is an impressive wide flood with a surprisingly even and well balanced looking light foot print. I can’t test the CRI 90 claim but it it seem a bit more even then my old kraken 3400.
I’ll have to see how ocean tests go, but ‘if’ this holds but then it seems like pretty good value overall depending on your specific use case.
It comes with both a Goodman handle (screw and tightening is a little Jenky, it will work loose) and standard ball mount which looks good enough.
I’m using 4 capped (regular style) 4200 3.7v 18650 I had laying around.
A couple odd things. Zero documentation was included. So print out from Amazon in case it disappears. It also doesn’t reference or explain if there is any battery life feedback. I am assuming that the blue led around the buttons will change in a standard way, I can’t tell for sure. It would be nice to know what 50% 25% etc looks like :).

I do a lot of commercial dive work at night and this thing is a beast!!! It will turn night into day. It has a broad range and is easy to use. I will definitely buy one again.

I bought this to use with my Sealife phone case. (The Sealife lights are expensive ) this thing is bright, I put it in my pool to test and it lit the entire pool. very impressive. I’ve used it on a few dives now and it works great. One of them had several swim through areas, it lit them up very well.
I love the USB-C charging as well. The battery seems to last as advertised, no problem on my two tank dives.
At first it seemed heavy, but not noticeable when diving.

love it but doesn’t last very long before batteries are dead . It lasts about 10 minutes not hours like they say

I cannot believe how crappy these lights are. Yes, of course the brightness is really nice, but that’s only if you make it beyond the first dive. I purchased 2 of these. One to use with my GoPro and the other as a back up. Well, I didn’t realize I would be using the back up so soon. Yes, 1 dive is all you get from these. For whatever reason, the glass portion in the front of the light is not sealed correctly. So, water intrudes and burns out the electronics. The batteries are next to go once that occurs. Don’t waste your money, get something with name recognition. Unfortunately, I bought these in the US and brought them to Mexico as I am an instructor in both places. The window is closed for returns so I am stuck with some really fancy paper weights. So, for those reading this, both lights are dead and both died in the same way. Spend the extra $$$ and buy a name brand light that is US made or one that will last longer than 2 dives.

I have used this for my last 8 dives and have had great success. One light is great but having two for a dive going down below 60′ is necessary to get the needed brightness. I have not had any problems with the lights lasting through 2 dives.
