I took this out for the first time this weekend to go tidepooling at 2am. The ocean was pitch black, but this light illuminated EVERYTHING. I would not recommend using it as your primary flashlight, because the light was fading at the end of our 2 hour adventure (being turned ON for nearly the whole 2 hours). It worked great underwater too. I was able to get clear footage of lobsters, eels, and octopuses without having the intense spotlight effect of a flashlight. Everything was so evenly lit. I would definitely recommend for anybody looking for an underwater or waterproof light.

I know you can’t link to youtube videos on amazon, but if you go to youtube and search for: Nocturnal Tidepooling at La Jolla Shores pacificyo – you will see the type of footage I was able to capture.

I have done over 50 dives with this light on my GoPro. I have a dive case for my GoPro that has a cold shoe on top for this. I keep the light at a slight angle over the GoPro shot and it has give me so many good shots even in places where I can’t see.

The light holds a charge very well. I’ve never had a single problem with this light and it give me the perfect light for night dives and even for day dives in deep water or dark reef crevices.

I’ve taken this light to 130 feet with no issues. I’ve done entire dive trips without having to recharge it. I don’t keep it on all the time. I only turn it on when I know I need it or might need it.

Overall I couldn’t be happier with this light with my GoPro.

easy to use, two brightness settings (plus a third pulsing setting which for me was useless), acceptable battery life, quick recharge

used this light for a week of diving including a couple of night dives … for night diving the less-bright setting was more useful for me, the bright setting would cause the center of images to be washed-out. actually wish that it had one even less bright setting instead of the pulsing/strobe option – that would have made it perfect for night dives (the problem is that with the GoPro I needed to be CLOSE on the subject which would cause the light to be too bright and wash-out the vids & pics)

battery life was acceptable – first day turned it on at the beginning of the dive (60 min), off during surface interval, and then back on for the second dive – by about 1/2 of the second dive (30 min) the light was too dim to be functional … charged over night and from then on would just turn in on/off as needed for shots which allowed it to work for two 60 minute dives a day

    overall am satisfied with this

I bought this and the 3 larger LEDs model of the same brand that houses 2 batteries. The light of this 16 LED model appears brighter and better / more uniform quality.

But the other light lasts twice as much on a charge.

I used these on a dive. I am not sure if I’d buy again the 2 battery model as this one is more portable, smaller and provides better lighting.

The 2 battery model although could be useful in an emergency or when bright light is needed for more than 90 minutes.

2 batteries do not make it brighter just last longer.

Anyway this works fine, easy to charge via USB cable, nice and compact. Not superbright as some torches, but at the same time lighting is uniform without hot spot in the center. Wide enough.

Dobra jakość, mocno świeci, ale należy odpowiednio ustawić aby dobrze doświetlała.

  8. Austin Bynum

Light is bright and worked well. Just feels cheaply made. Only used it once to try to see fishes on the hoof under water. Got a very green picture. Will keep trying. Maybe a clearer lake. It lit up the green fabulously tho!

Used this on 4 dives in Cozumel over the last week with the deepest dive being 70ft. The battery compartment wasn’t opened until after the 4th dive and found it very wet inside. For a unit that advertises 147ft, leaking at 70 is pretty bad. Makes this a complete waste of money for use as a diving light.

Additionally, the hardware screw that comes with the unit is not stainless and rusts almost immediately making it extremely difficult to take off without the included wrench.

What a great light. I didn’t know what to expect as I couldn’t really settle on one brand or another. Nothing was really all-the-way 5 stars. But this one is awesome.

Very well made, feels premium and it is ridiculously bright. Let me repeat. Brightness level = RIDICULOUS.

Already had a charge when I opened it, so I of course blinded myself when I found out where the power button was.

Secure and tight, this is for sure waterproof. Can’t wait to use it for some night swimming.

Came with a nice little twist lock wrench which I haven’t seen before. Would have been a nice touch to include a cheap little pouch, but I can live without. I’ll just store it in the little plastic wrap it came with.

    Worth the money. Very satisfied.

Malzeme kalitesi çok iyi. Kasası güçlü, düşmelere dayanacaktır. Işık gücü çok iyi. Henüz su altında denemedim ancak karanlık odada oldukça iyi aydınlatma sağlıyor.
    Aydınlık odada fark yaratıyor.
Tek eksi olarak type-c olmamasını söyleyebilirim.
Fiyatına göre oldukça iyi bir ürün.

Compact, wide angle light. Photos Left to Right are Standard GoPro Light Mod with diffuser, GoPro light without diffuser, the rate Suptic 36 LED diving light, and the combination of the rated Suptic light with the GoPro light mod without diffuser. All shot with GoPro on a tripod 10-ft from a target wall using the 16-34 mm wide angle lens setting with 1x zoom, 1/1,000 sec, and white balance set to Native. Lux values were 3 Center and 0 lux at edge of frame for the GoPro with diffuser, 26 center and 0 edge for the GoPro without diffuser, 30 lux center and 0 lux at edge for the rated Suptic light, and 45 lux center and 1 lux at the edge for both lights together. Much easier and more practical to mount than the GoPro light mode, which requires either the waterproof housing or the Media mod housing, the latter of which requires partial disassembly and renders the assembly non-waterproof. The light throw pattern would probably be a good match for the Linear lens setting, and compared to the GoPro, brighter, more even, longer battery life, one third the cost (including the GoPro housings), and easier to mount, although slightly more more bulky. The two lights can be used together to produce a pleasing center-weighted light pattern.
